Notes now have more power!
Notes is now a searchable field on the Assets Overview page. You can also now select "Notes" as a selectable column on the Assets Overview page. If you have set any information on the Notes field in GSuite on a Chromebook, that Notes field will now update the notes in Panel. This is useful if you have spent time in GSuite making notes.
Asset ID still comes over from Google as the Panel's asset Internal Tracking ID. Internal Tracking ID is now a selectable column on the Assets overview page! There is now an option to has your Panel Asset name for PC assets automatically be set to whatever the PC computer's hostname is, even if you change the hostname after the asset is registered!
Find this setting in the Settings Overview tab. Note: this setting is OFF by default - you must enable it if you want this behavior. If you turn this on, any PC asset in Panel will have its name updated to the current PC hostname everytime the PC syncs with Panel. You can now select a bunch of new columns of data on the Assets Overview page. Use this to customize your view to see exactly the information you are interested in!
The Assets Overview table will also now remember your column preferences. Next time you come back to the screen, your preferred columns will be waiting for you! You can now Tag Assets with one or more Tagging tags.

Why Tag? Tagging is a good way of building a loose association between assets that need to possess the same label. You can filter on Tags in the Assets Overview page (Assets in the main Navigation window) and you can view Tags on any Asset on the detail page. To get started:
